Mews House Residential Development, Knightsbridge, London SW1X – This property lies within a desirable private mews, close to Harrods. Working for a developer, we first obtained planning consent to form a new lower ground floor extension to provide additional entertaining space.
The Design Response
Extensive alterations and refurbishment of two mews houses joined into one. The property is unusual in its configuration and is part listed. To achieve the desired design it was necessary to have detailed discussions with the Planners and the Freeholder which allowed significant key alterations to be made. The house was extensively redesigned and altered to create four floors of accommodation including a master bedroom with dressing room and ensuite, three further bedrooms, a cinema room, bar, golf simulator/gym, changing room and integral garage.
All rooms were finished to a high standard with custom designed fitted joinery, marble finishes, scene lighting and home automation. Fully furnished and beautifully presented, at the point of sale the property achieved the second highest price per square foot of any mews house in London.
