RBD Architecture & Interiors is an award-winning RIBA Chartered Practice based in Central London with 20 years of experience creating stunning high-end residential and commercial projects in the UK and abroad.
RBD Architecture & Interiors (originally known as Realisation by Design) was founded by Practice Principal, Andy Willis, in 2003. With 25 years of experience as an architect, Andy has worked on a wide range of prestigious projects both in the UK and abroad. After studying at Manchester University, he completed his work experience with a North London firm of architects before joining a design and construction company in Notting Hill in 1999. It was where he learned his craft working on a wide range of high end residential and commercial projects before setting up and heading their design studio.
After four successful years, Andy made the leap to further develop his passion for design by setting up his own practice. This gave him the opportunity to create a design studio providing the highest standards in service and project management that clients in the high end residential and commercial sectors rightly expect. Under his guidance, RBD Architecture & Interiors has developed into a busy and high achieving design studio with a small team of talented designers. To maintain standards, RBD only ever takes on a small, select number of projects at any one time. Andy continues to be the main point of client contact and plays an active role in project concept and detailed design. In his spare time he also works as an RIBA advisor and has acted as an independent expert witness.
We recognise that every project is unique with a different set of design requirements and challenges. Each project enquiry we receive is followed by an in-person initial consultation with Andy, ideally on site, to discuss your project requirements, and consider design and planning possibilities to assess budget and programme. All meetings are then followed up with an RBD fee proposal and project delivery strategy including a list of design and management services that we feel are applicable to your project.
We offer a wide range of in-house design services from initial feasibility studies and planning applications through to detailed design, interior design, furnishing and marketing. The introduction of our interior design service within the practice has proven hugely successful, saving clients time and money compared with appointing an interior designer elsewhere. It also allows our architects and interior designers to work closely together, much earlier in the design process than would traditionally be the case. This promotes better design coordination and allows items such as custom fitted joinery, furniture, fixtures and fittings can be factored into the building design from an early stage.

I employed RBD Architecture & Interiors to renovate a London townhouse into 2 apartments. Andy did a fantastic job of laying out the space in both properties resulting in both apartments achieving the full asking price in record time.
